Whether your relationship with your partner reaches the bliss of the mountaintop or the despair of the valley, this program offers a challenge. It is a challenge to discover the untapped potential of your relationship. Whether you are an engaged couple looking for handles in preparing for marriage, recently married couples in the throes of conflict, seasoned couples desiring small tweaks to an otherwise fulfilling relationship, or anywhere in between, Marriage ROCKS™ challenges you to search for authentic meaning in your engaged or married life.
Marriage ROCKS™ has been developed to reveal the potential for both blessings and failings in marriage. The holy bible provides numerous examples of rocks serving as monumental standing stones which testify to the bounty of God’s provision. However, scripture also presents rocks as stumbling stones which can destroy your relationship with God and with each other. Marriage ROCKS™ uses Psalms 61 as the backdrop to teach three key life lessons that promise to enrich every marriage relationship:
- God is the Rock that provides us safety and shelter from the storms of life
- We must climb up to God because His ways are higher than we are
- God will cover our inadequacies, fears, and frustrations if we trust in Him
Finding the place of shelter and safety in marriage requires that we deliberately climb to God's cleft. Couples desiring to be ROCK climbers must see their marriages the way that God sees them. God has called us to be ROCK climbers and to rely on Him to divinely manage our marriage rather than resorting to the wisdom of this world. God has promised to slay the giants that seek to destroy our marriages. But, He is calling us shake the foundations of the world by climbing to Him. God is calling us to Marriage ROCKS™.
