Marriage ROCKS: The Summit™
Do you have a really good marriage that you want to make a great marriage? What makes a great marriage? Research shows that great marriages emerge as couples consistently engage in shared experiences that elicit positive feelings. Marriage ROCKS: The Summit is the third installment of the Marriage ROCKS program. And, this program is specifically geared towards mobilizing the ministry in your marriage. While the first two installments of the Marriage ROCKS series, Base Camp and Ascent, can benefit individuals as well as couples, Marriage ROCKS: The Summit is designed for couples only.
All couples completing the Marriage ROCKS: The Ascent program are eligible to participate in Marriage ROCKS: The Summit. Marriage ROCKS: The Summit uses a biblically-grounded “train the trainer” model to teach couples how to design and implement marriage-related services for profit and non-profit organizations. This ministry-oriented program helps couples to understand how to use their unique experiences as a married couple to benefit other marriages. Specific skill-building areas include:
- Performing ministry needs assessments,
- Developing ministry proposals
- Designing community, church, and home-based models to support marriages (some examples include – lay counseling for couples, marriage mentoring)
- Recruiting support staff
